Chatwoot is a customer support tool for instant messaging channels which can help businesses to provide exceptional customer support.

The authors started building Chatwoot in 2017. It's built on Vue.js and Rails. While it was inactive 1 and a half years, but a recent decision of making it open kicked the work around it

After it being open-sourced, the project received contributions from 30 developers all around the world. This talk is about how FOSS helped drive the success of a product, which otherwise would go unnoticed
